Double fertilization only occurs in angiosperms. This only occurs when a pollen grain attaches to the stigma for the flower. The pollen grain them falls down the style and lands towards the egg. Once that has happen, one sperm will fertilize the egg, causing the development of diploid zygote (creates the embryo). The other sperm goes and fertilizes the endosperm which contains the nutrients and water for the young embryo when ripen.

Extra Credit Blog
What topics really confused you?
The most confusing topics for me was the plant respiration lab and the metabolism with all the confusing element compounds.
What topics do you feel very clear on?
The topics that I feel very clear about so far is the ecology, plant, and evolution chapters so far.
What lab/ activity was your favorite? Why?
My favorite lab activity was the plant dissection lab so far because I had already know the plant parts and I know what parts to take out and recognize the plant parts.
What lab/activity was your least favorite? Why?
The least favorite lab would be the respiration lab because it was confusing and I didnt know what I was doing so our group had done the lab wrong.
If you could change something about the class to make it better, for instance the type of homework (not the amount) what would it be and why?
l would prefer that we have no simulations and blogs and more writing and worksheets to increase the understand of the chapter.

Blog 11: Cell Poem
The nucleus is the town hall of a small city.
The postal packages and letters are being packaged and shipped through the Golgi apparatus. The cell membrane marks the border of the city and the vacuole is the city dump. The flagella would become the city's gravity and the ribosomes would be the farms.
